Jay has over 30 years of experience in the private sector as a freelance project manager, producer, writer, Powerpoint and Keynote guru, presentation specialist, and graphic artist. He has worked on dozens of projects in a variety of industries, including advertising and marketing, medical research, corporate and global finance, music and live event production and promotion, and commercial real estate
Jay has participated in public speaking competitions in the New York area as a member of the Mad Toasters Toastmasters Club. He has also spent time in the equally demanding role of stand-up comedian
In the public sector, as Program Director for SuitAblity, a not-for-profit welfare to work program for underprivileged women, Jay created much of their CORE Program curriculum. He authored, facilitated, and presented customized seminars on Workplace Courtesy, Job Interview Skills, Embracing Happiness, Public Speaking Skills, and Networking
Beginning in 2005, Jay began customizing seminars on public speaking and presentation skills for educational clients such as the Urban Assembly School of Business for Young Women in New York City, the Urban Assembly New York Harbor School, the Heckscher Foundation for Children, and City of New York’s GirlsREACH & BoysREACH Programs.
Jantzer Consulting worked with the OGCI team facilitating one-on-one presentation coaching sessions for the participants in their OGCI Venture in Washington, DC., Houston, TX, Chicago, IL and New York City. Presenters had fifteen minutes to outline their innovative ideas in order to win funding and support.
Jantzer Consulting facilitated an extended workshop entitled “Presentation Skills & Personal Branding for Career Success” at the 2018 genARISE Fellowship Workshop Program.
Jantzer Consulting worked with the Climate Policy Initiative FiRe Awards team to facilitate one-on-one and group presentation coaching sessions for the participants in the BNEF Future of Energy Global Summit. Presenters had three minutes to outline their innovative ideas in order to win funding and support.
Working with Pirate’s Booty, Jantzer Consulting created Powerpoint templates and content for dozens of presentations, new business pitches and five national brand meetings.
Jantzer Consulting was the exclusive presentation consultant for Glacéau from 2001 through 2009. During that time, we worked on several hundred individual and group presentations, oversaw presentations for six national brand meetings, and presented many lunchtime seminars on Using Powerpoint Effectively, Presentation Skills and Public Speaking.
Presented over 175 hours of worldwide teleconference instruction, working with international teams of presenters participating in "Best Practices" meetings in Rome, Italy and Santiago, Chile.
Jantzer Consulting presented seminars on Business Courtesy and Business Wardrobing to 50 NYC high school girls entering into summer internships as part of the GirlsREACH Program. We also coordinated a Business Wardrobe shopping day at Macy's Herald Square wherein $10,000 worth of appropriate business clothing was provided to the students. We provided professional shoppers who worked with each student individually.
